South Korea’s successful experience in generating pollution-free clean energy
Seoul – April 2 : South Korea’s artificial sun “K-Star” nuclear reactor broke the world record by operating at 100 million degrees Celsius for 48 seconds.
According to CNN, the goal of scientists at the Korea Fusion Energy Institute (KFE) is to operate the star nuclear reactor at 100 million degrees Celsius for as long as possible. The reactions that make other stars glow are simulated, and the reactor produces extremely high levels of heat when running.
In a recent experiment, South Korean scientists were able to run the reactor plasma at 100 million degrees for 48 seconds, which is 7 times hotter than the core of the Sun. Thus, the 2021 record of 30 seconds was broken. Kestar Research The director of the center, C. Wu Yun, said that it was not an easy task to maintain such intense heat. In this regard, this fresh record is extremely important.
C. Wu Yun has said that we aim to run the reactor continuously for 300 seconds by 2026. It should be noted that the K-Star nuclear reactor produces nuclear fusion energy, which is clean energy without carbon pollution.
