Pakistan to Experience More Heatwaves Next Month

As temperatures take off across around 26 locale, the Climate Change Service uncovered on Thursday that the progressing heatwave will continue until May 30.

Besides, two more heatwaves are anticipated for June. The service faulted unsustainable environmental practices and deforestation for these super climate events.

During a public interview, Romina Khurshid Alam, the PM’s facilitator on climate change, encouraged bureaucratic and commonplace government bodies to send all potential assets to defend residents, especially like kids and the old, from the burning intensity.

As per the official, refering to Pakistan Meteorological Department information, temperatures in different locales were as of now surpassing ordinary levels by 5 to 6 degrees Celsius. She added that 26 locale in Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan were grappling with serious heatwave conditions, expected to persevere in three waves over the mid year.

The ongoing wave, enduring from May 22 to May 30, will be trailed by two additional waves in June. As per Romina Alam, the second heatwave is supposed from June 7 to June 8, with the third wave anticipated somewhat recently of June.
