Rawalpindi Islamabad: Heavy torrential rain in Rawalpindi Islamabad have created flood situation in Nala Lai, causing death toll of 13 people due to rain-related accidents.

heavy rainfall has lashed the twin cities leading to waterlogging in low-lying regions, and causing disruptions and posing risks to residents.

According to Met Office, more than 186 mm of rain has been recorded in Rawalpindi.

On behalf of Commissioner Rawalpindi Division, Rain Emer Gensi is enforced.

All institutions including the army have been put on high alert. In Nala Lai, the water level in Katarian has reached 19 feet, while in Golmandi, it has reached 18 feet.

The population has been evacuated from both places. Commissioner Rawalpindi.

Rains started in different parts of the country from Monday and will intensify on Wednesday.

According to the Meteorological Department, from tonight to July 23, the region of Potohar, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Rain with strong winds is expected in Lucky Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan and Waziristan.

The weather has been hot and humid in most parts of the country during the last 24 hours.

The highest temperature in the country was recorded at 46 Sabi, 46 degrees Celsius in Dadu, 42 degrees Celsius in Sukkur, Mohenjo-daro and Nawab Shah.
