Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Highlights Adverse Impact of #WaterCrisis, ClimateChange on Food Insecurity at UNGA Session

Islamabad: The President of the UN General Assembly, Csaba Korösi, has invited the Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to attend the UN’s conference on Water to be held in March 2023.

#UN 2023 Water Conference  will be held from 22 — 24 March 2023, at UN Headquarters in New York, #USA, with the cooperation of #Tajikistan and the #Netherlands.

This was stated during a meeting of Bhutto Zardari with President of the seventy-seventh session of the UN General Assembly Mr.Csaba Korösi in in New York on Thursday, Radio Pakistan reported.

Bilawal Bhutto briefed the president on matters pertaining to impact of #climatechange, #watercrisis and sustainable development goals #SDGs.

The Foreign Minister thanked the UN General Assembly for passing a resolution in which solidarity was expressed with Pakistan in the wake of devastating floods.

The Foreign Minister assured full support and cooperation to the President of the UN General Assembly.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is visiting to the United States, and his visit’s programme includes multiple multilateral and bilateral engagements in New York and Washington DC.

According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, on 15-16 December 2022 in New York, the Foreign Minister will host and chair the Ministerial Conference of the G-77 and China, the largest negotiating bloc of developing countries within the UN system.
