The World Food Programme and the Food and Agriculture Organisation, two United Nations agencies, have raised concern about the extreme food insecurity in regions like Afghanistan, Myanmar, and Pakistan, reported.

According to a research by these groups, between September and December 2023, more than 85 million people in Pakistan may experience extreme food insecurity, whilst 70 percent of Afghans might not receive two meals a day.
