Islamabad: The 2nd International Conference on Climate Change & Environment” will be hosted by Department of Environmental Sciences of Quaid-i-Azam University from January 11 – 12, 2023 at the beautiful campus of Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan.

The global event will be organized in collaboration with Pakistan Environmental Protection (EPA).

Senator Sherry Rehman, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Climate Change will be chief guest of the event.

Dr. Prof. Gerrit Hoogenboom, a preeminent scholar in the food systems institute and professor of agricultural and biological engineering at the University of Florida will be keynote speaker of the conference.

The conference is an initiative aimed to combat and tackle Climate Change in an endeavor to bring significant benefits to human health, the economy, and sustainable development in the Pakistan as the country faces one of the single greatest challenge, the menace of Climate Change.

The speakers at the conference will be prominent experts of the climate change from across the globe.

Organizers said the conference will provide the students and young researchers a wonderful opportunity of learning and sharing research on “Climate Change and Environment” that would be helpful in mitigating the detrimental effects of human-induced environmental damages.

Major themes of conference will be policy initiatives, current trends, impacts of climate change, conversion of waste to energy and impact on climate change, the effect of climate change on #water resources of #Islamabad, transport system vs climate change, #tourism vs climate change, agriculture and Natural Resource Management.

Speakers will highlight issues related to climate change and #environment, especially the social and economic insecurity as Pakistan faces the devastating effects of the #Climatechange.
