Karachi: Pakistan will be the next food factory of the world as Turkish and Chinese investors interested to invest Pakistan’s agriculture sector, this statement echoed during the 1st International Food and Agriculture Exhibition, organized by TDAP held at Karachi Expo Centre from Aug10-12 ,2023.
Kamran Tessori, Governor of Sindh, inaugrated the FoodAg 2023, showcasing the best in food products, fruits, rice, biryani and much more to local and global buyers, with 200 exhibitors and 650 foreign delegates from 70 countries attending the agricultural expo.
At FoodAg 2023, Global Cuisine Show, one of the highlights of FoodAg 2023, entertained esteemed guests after Inaugural Ceremony hosted by live cooking shows with national and international chefs, and tasting of cultural dishes. Delegates and guests enjoyed Pakistan’s food; from ice-creams and tacos to biryani and seafood.
Chela Ram Kevlani, the Chairman of Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP), extended his profound appreciation to Team TDAP for flawlessly executing FoodAg 2023 — Pakistan’s 1st International Food and Agriculture Exhibition. Mr. Kevlani, who was present at the exhibition, commended the exceptional event as a pivotal platform for effectively connecting rice exporters with international buyers.
CE TDAP, Zubair Motiwala, in his speech, spoke about taking Pakistan’s export potential from raw materials to valuable goods.

At the International Food and Agriculture Exhibition, B2B meetings, factory visits, discussions with TDAP management and sampling dishes prepared by int’l chefs from Pakistani ingredients were presented for local and foreign delegates.
Celebrating the remarkable achievements of the 1st Food and Agriculture Exhibition, Secretary TDAP, Mr. Fareed Iqbal Qureshi, appreciated the dedicated TDAP team and partnering organizations that orchestrated the triumph of FoodAg 2023.
TDAP officials said ‘Uniting 200+ exhibitors and facilitating over 5000 B2B meetings with 600 delegates, FoodAg 2023 stands as a testament to Pakistan’s advanced agricultural sector. This exhibition was an exceptional endeavor to showcase the industry’s maturity.

The biggest ever delegation from China of over 200 businessmen participated in the 1st Food Ag exhibition, showing keen interest in Pakistan’s agro products and their exports to China.
Some 20 member strong delegation of Dutch businesses attended the expo, paving the way for Pakistan’s food exports to the Netherlands. Participation of Dutch businesses and companies will strengthen the economic ties further in agriculture.
With exporters and investors from some 80 countries attending this event turned out to a gateway to growth and collaboration in agriculture and food production, creating the evolution of the food and agriculture industry in fertile lands of Pakistan.
